No Law(?)

Notice the crucially-different wording of various Bible/"bible" renditions of Ephesians chapter 2 verse 15 below:

[RSV]11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands
12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who has made us both [and who is "us both?"] one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility,

15 (RSV) by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two [whatever the hell that means], so making peace,
15 (Darby) having annulled the enmity in his flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might form the two in himself into one new man, making peace;
15 (Douay) Making void the law of commandments contained in decrees: that he might make the two in himself into one new man, making peace
15 (ERV) having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the twain one new man, so making peace;
15 (ESV) by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,
15 (GWV) He brought an end to the commandments and demands found in Moses’ Teachings so that he could take Jewish and non-Jewish people and create one new humanity in himself. So he made peace.
15 (JB2000) abolishing in his flesh the enmity, which was the law of commandments in the order of rites, to edify in himself the two in one new man, making peace,
15 (KJ21) having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might make in Himself one new man out of the two, so making peace

16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end.
17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near;
18 for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

The RSV, Douay, ESV, and the GWV states that the law of commandments in ordinances/rites has been abolished or voided.

In stark contrast, the Darby, ERV, JB2000, and KJ21 states that the enmity, which was the law of commandments in ordinances, was abolished.

The RSV, Douay, ESV, and GWV leave out and completely omit the word: enmity. A huge mistranslational mistake!

But, just for gits and shiggles, let take the wrong translations and elaborate upon them, because pseudo-"christians" do adamantly or casually claim: "We're saved by grace through faith, not our own works of law. All our sins have been and are covered by the blood of the Lamb."

Bloody-wuddy, woo-woo.

It is, in one sense, understandable that certain jews had trouble accepting Someone Else's sacrifice for them in place of they themselves sacrificing shekels-profitable calves and goats and rams and lambs and whatever other expensive environmentally-protected livestock. It was embarrassing for them; tough to think of how to pay the Donor back with mere non-monetary gratitude. Stifled their animal hunting and slaughtering cravings. Thwarted their bargaining instinct. Having to deal with God directly, instead of through lawsuit-susceptible human auctioneers. However, it was not beyond their theology to understand that God Himself was their Sins-Forgiver:

Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name? Surely you know!

Mark 2:7 "Why does this man speak thus? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
Luke 5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying: "Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?"

Thus the question by the high priest to Jesus pertaining to the actual identity of Jesus:

Matthew 26:63 But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."

Jesus, neither shining in brilliant-as-lightning glory nor armed with the latest anti-Roman body armor and weaponry, was not impressive enough in His affirmative answer, although He did give a prophecy of Him futuristically becoming The Magnificent Conqueror (but which was not enough for the high priest):

Matthew 26:64 Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."
65 Then the high priest tore his robes, and said, "He has uttered blasphemy. Why do we still need witnesses? You have now heard his blasphemy.
66 What is your judgment?" They answered, "He deserves death."

Jesus is also not impressive enough to a lot of people. To some, He's worse than Obama. He has not provided free gasoline. Government-grant free utilities. No chicken in every pot, nor Lincoln in every driveway. Wage disparity. Traffic jams. Feminist-incited corporate downsizing and unemployment. No government-subsidized mortgages or free-grant loans. House prices and apartment rents too high and uncertain. Save-the-weird-lifeforms EPA-nutjob strangulationists. An anti-patriots IRS. Industrial pollution. Overseas threats from ISIS beheaders. Allowing murderous abortionists and bullyboy-belligerent homo-activists to force humankind into extinction. Warm-weather mopheaded/sleevesless/slacksless/socksless public immodesty roams rampant with impunity.

Jesus? Too prudish to provide sex, at least in time.(?) Too poverty-oriented to provide financial-jackpots affluency.(?) To embarrassingly humble to promote Himself and His own guys politically.(?) Too serious, and not enough "fun."(?)

Maybe they figured that if Jesus wanted to become the nationally-sacrificed Jewish "Lamb of God" so much to [allegedly?] atone for other's sins instead of livestock used by they themselves doing it, they'd get Pilate to string Him up like some life-saving bronze snake on a pole per His wish, then maybe even eat Him afterwards as they would eat a non-roadkill throat-slit passover lamb (because, after all, Jesus did command everyone to eat His flesh and [accursedly?] drink His blood).

At any rate let's get back to abolishing law in commandments and ordinances, because that is the end purpose of anti-law pseudo-"christians" who, by default, tout themselves being "saved by grace through faith not by our own works of the law" -- and thus self-righteously elevating themselves in impudent arrogance as the very spe.....cial anti-law blessed and saved lawless.

Here we go, but before I do, do you like to be told, or ordered, what to do? If I commanded (not simply asked) you to do something, would you do it? If you commanded (not merely requested) me to do something, would I do it? If a Marine sergeant in Basic Training Boot Camp commanded or ordered you to do something, would you promptly do it - even if how he did it was yelling at you, hollering at you, shouting at you - even at point-blank close range, over and over - until you fearfully and quickly complied?

Keep in mind, as we abolish ALL law in commandments and ordinances, as the RSV, Douay, ESV, and the GWV tells us to do, we cannot cherry-pick as to exceptions or qualifications of what could or should be exempted.

"The Ten Commandments" of: You Shall and You Shall Not law.

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Husbands, love your wives."

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Wives, submit to your husbands."

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Whoa, whoa" - you might interrupt. "The law is still our guide, not necessarily of what we must do or even should do, but automatically will do when we are "living in the Spirit" (whatever the hell that means, does not mean, is defined by, or not defined by).

Hey, dum dum. What part of "abolished" do you not understand: the a the b the o the l the i the s the h the e or the d? Let's not cherry-pick all of a sudden. "Law abolished" means exactly that: Law ABOLISHED.

We continue.

"You must not pass on a double yellow line."

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Do Not Cross Police Line"

A rather tall "saved-by-grace-through-faith" cultic-diehard guy we'll call B.B. (under the auspices of M.M.) was noticed by shorter but formidable orthodox-theology D.B. to not be crossing the police-line taped-off area, and D.B. questioned him about it:

D.B. Hey B.B., you're not crossing the police-line taped-off area. Are you thus hypocritically obeying the law and complying with command - you who assert you're not under Law but under grace?" Hasn't the do-not-cross-police-law law been abolished because of your claim to be saved by grace through faith not by the good work of obeying the police-line sign law and command?

B.B. I'm not crossing the police-line tape as obedient response to police-law command, but merely because I am living in the Spirit, and the Spirit suggested that I randomly choose to not wander into certain areas.

D.B. You'd better choose the Spirit's suggestions, or you will comply with a cop under arrest, with a fine laid on you besides. And how did you know to not trespass into the police-line area....being that you say that you have nothing to do with the Law and that all Law is abolished? Did you read the police law sign to command you what to not do, and thus you're a a liar besides a hypocrite?

ALL Law is abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.

More law commands. Not required, being....

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Do Not Enter"

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Romans 7:12 So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.

Meaningless, because the law is:

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

"Danger. Keep out" (in an electrical substation with high-voltage transformers)

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

You can [and what does the word: 'sarcasm' mean?] begin to see that the electrically-fried and otherwise self-fatalized lawless are the ones who are going to make it into heaven and not hell, because:

The Law is Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no prophecy the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.

So much for the life-saving law of No Trespassing command signs. Beats the crap out of lawless liberty and freedom to become and be a lethally-shocked touch-the-high-voltage-terminals ass.

But again, back to mouthing the mindless pseudo-"christian" mantra:

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Revelation 22:14 [KJV, not RSV] Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Mark 10:19 You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.'"
Luke 18:20 You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.'"

Forget commandments, there is no need to obey them nor even think about them anymore, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them."

So what? ALL law is abolished per the Ephesians chapter 2 reference, and thus there is no need to obey them at all, nor even keep them in mind, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Romans 3:31 Do we then overthrow the Law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Drop the load, no need to continue upholding, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Romans 2:15 They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them
Hebrews 8:10 "This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days," says the Lord: "I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."
Hebrews 10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days," says the Lord: "I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds."

Irrelevant law references, because all law is...

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Not only that, but who needs to be circumcised? Why not screw the wife with sloppy-looking diseased foreskin, giving her lethal vaginal infection?

Galatians 5:11 But if I, brethren, still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
5:12 I wish those who unsettle you would mutilate themselves!

So, circumcision is illegal and unhealthy mutilation?

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his [works of the law?] doing.
2:8 If you really fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty against all of it.
2:11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," said also, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor against the law.

ALL moot...being that all such commands of law are:

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please."

Jeremiah 14:14 And the LORD said to me: "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name; I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.
Jeremiah 23:16 Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes; they speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD."
Jeremiah 23:26 How long shall there be lies in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, and who prophesy the deceit of their own heart?
Ezekiel 13:2 "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, prophesy and say to those who prophesy out of their own minds: 'Hear the word of the LORD!'"
Matthew 15:6 So, for the sake of your tradition, you have made void the word of God.
Mark 7:13 "...thus making void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such things you do."
John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 15:17 This I command you, to love one another.
Romans 12:10 love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor.
Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Galatians 4:10 You observe days, and months, and seasons, and years!
First Thessalonians 4:9 But concerning love of the brethren you have no need to have any one write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another
Titus 1:14 ...instead of giving heed to Jewish myths or to commands of men who reject the truth.
First Peter 1:22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart.
First John 3:11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another
First John 3:23 And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
First John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God.
First John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Second John 1:5 And now I beg you, lady, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.

ALL abrogated and non-applicable, being....

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please(?)"

"Caution. Explosive Gas. Do not Overheat."

Abolished, no need to obey, because "we're saved by grace through faith, not by our own works of law. No works-righteousness, please!"

BOOM!!!

The doing of whatever good works (as the Bible defines what they are and are not) which one has the opportunity to do, along with the honest intention and expressed desire to do nothing but good works perfectly 24/7, is required and mandatory to not merely indicate who is a real Christian, but even to actually be an authentic Christian.

Cowardly or non-proselytizing silent belief in one's heart (about Christ's gospel) is not enough to prove being saved nor be saved, if one has the capacity and the opportunity to communicate their belief (in the atonement against sins provided by Christ Jesus) by mouth, pen, or however.

God in Christ does not tolerate nor accept part-time love, nor any individual comprising His Body, His Bride, the Church, having competing husbands.

Second Corinthians 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we preached among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No; but in Him it is always Yes.

Bonus Summary

ARROGANT SNIT #1: "I can do whatever the hell I want because I am saved by grace through faith not works of law."

COUNTER-CRITIC: "If whatever the hell you want ever includes wanting to disobey the Law, you are not saved by grace through faith nor works of law."

ARROGANT SNIT #2: "I am not saved by fallible human faith nor fallible human works. I'm saved by a combination of the perfect faith Christ had, not my mixed-bag works - according to Romans - plus the perfect works Christ did, not my sometimes-faltering faith alone - according to James. So I am saved by the person of Christ, not the religio-philosophical abstractions of either "faith" or "works."

COUNTER-CRITIC: "Neither Christ's perfect faith nor Christ's perfect works are imputed to you for your salvation if you ever want to disobey the Law."

First John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He/She who does right is righteous, as He is righteous.
First John 3:8 He/She who commits sin is of The Devil; for The Devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of The Devil.
First John 3:9 No one born of God commits sin; for God's nature resides in him [or her], and he/she cannot sin because he [or she] is born of God.
First John 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you may be sure that every one who does right is born of Him.

General-public modesty (regarding non-mopheaded hairstyle, armwear, full-length legwear, and feet covered with socks or in boots) of women and girls is essential as a vital and crucial enhancement to cause partially-and-completely-naked female-human pornography of all types in print and on screen to be and continue to be sensuously titillating, resulting in admitted or non-admitted arousal of erotic desire to eventually culminate in genital sexual gratification of whatever forms in whatever situations (typically without the source of stimulation and directed elsewhere)....but porn itself, by its very nature consisting of indiscriminate display of select female-human immodesty of various types and extents intended to be seen by random male viewers at large, is sinfully-deplorable incitement to participate in visual fornication by those who are not or not yet married, and adultery by those who are already married.
